Presentation: Introduction to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness)
Saturday, May 4, 9am, Fellowship Hall – All are Welcome! Church members, family, significant others friends and neighbors, to enjoy a light breakfast together hosted by the United Methodist Men.
We can all be affected by mental Illness, directly in our family, our children or indirectly through friends. Learn how to gain understanding and support those in need and lead them towards a hopeful future.
Susan Gatto, and Evan Pagano from NAMI Southwest Connecticut affiliate, will be our guests at the UMM Breakfast to speak about their organization. NAMI is the oldest grassroots organization for mental illness in the country, providing support and education for people who experience mental illness and their families, as well as advocacy for important policies affecting mental health care in the US. Our local affiliate offers free support groups, educational classes, speaker events and more for families affected by mental illness right here in Fairfield County.
