Our Sunday School programs for High School students strive to encourage discussion and interaction as well as respect for different opinions. High School classes alternate from serving the community, to Bible study, to discussion of current events with a nationally-renowned history teacher who is a member of our congregation. Students leave the Worship Service for Sunday School following Children’s Moments.
Senior Methodist Youth Fellowship
The Senior MYF group is targeted to youth in grades 9th-12th. Participants decide their activities, service projects, and Methodist conferences. Activities nurture spirit, faith, body and mind. The group meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 7-8:30pm.
Every year we honor our graduating High School Seniors. This celebratory banquet is a collaborative effort between the Senior High School Sunday School Class and other adults within the congregation. The Senior High Sunday School class creates the program that honors our graduating students.
Operation Christmas Child
Each year we join hands with many other churches around the world to share in the Samaritan Purse Project. Together with the rest of the congregation, youth decorate and fill shoeboxes with items to give to children across the world.
United Methodist Action Reach-Out Mission by Youth is a week long mission trip that offers participating youth the chance to put their faith into action. Participants gain a deeper, fuller perspective of our faith by worshiping, serving, and playing together with their contemporaries throughout the Northeastern jurisdiction.
